Let the Festivities Begin!

We began the Christmas season with a trip to the illumination activites at the Founders Inn this weekend.  Admittedly, I went with a little trepidation as I would with anything that has connection to Pat Robertson.  However, it was a delightful experience from beginning to end. We began with holiday music rendered by the singing Santa and Spectrum Puppets.  It was bright and cheery and the crowd was energized.  That was followed by dance performances from the Filipino Cultural Center and a group (didn’t catch the name) of children performing Irish Step Dances.  Great fun!  We left for a little while and went to grab a late lunch and then back in line for Santa.  It was a looooong wait, but the boys were determined to see the Big Man.  Keona is looking for the Interceptor (Star Wars ship) and Kalani seeks yet another CHOO CHOO.  After  connecting with Santa himself, we went outside to enjoy the lights.  The boys had wonderful time running around the garden light maze and we headed for the car.  But even more fun awaited us.  We parked in front of a grove of trees where there was a great big bunch of leaves and none of us could resist a romp among them.  Finally, we went home……
